The province also held two draws for candidates working in the health professions. Specifically, BC invited 20 healthcare professionals who may be eligible for the Skilled Worker, International Graduate or Entry-Level, and Self-Taught Skills subcategories. In addition, the province said it invited "fewer than five" nursing assistants, stretchers, and patient service workers to apply for entry-level and semi-skilled subcategories. Both draws require entrants to have a minimum provincial score of 62.

A total of 20 eligible skilled workers and educators in the international graduate sub-category were also invited. These candidates must also achieve a minimum of 62 points to be invited.

Since March, in addition to the general draw, specific invitations to support BC government priorities have been issued, such as B. Support specific industry sectors and encourage regional immigration.

This is the first time since March BC. It also issued an invitation to Entrepreneurial Immigration (EI) candidates. Fewer than five invitations were sent to those in the EI Regional Pilot category.

The broadcast will be temporarily suspended while the province continues to invite and finalize applications from candidates in the IE Basic category. The province is currently reviewing the program and has announced it will reopen applications in July 2022.

This year B.C. has sent out more than 3,200 invitations through various BC PNP broadcasts.

About the BC PNP

The BC PNP is designed to attract foreign workers in the province who are in high demand and want to become permanent residents of Canada.

The BC PNP has two main immigration categories, Skilled Immigration and Express Entry, which are further divided into subcategories. These processes are registered under BC's Skilled Immigration Registration System (SIRS). managed. To apply through SIRS, you must first register for an account. Once you do this, you'll receive points based on factors such as education, work experience, and language skills.

Then, when British Columbia holds a regular draw, the highest-scoring candidates in each subcategory will be invited to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

If you are invited, you may submit a completed application through the BC PNP online system within 30 days of the date of the invitation.

Once you submit your completed BC PNP application package, you will receive a notice of the province's decision in about two to three months. If your nomination is successful, you can apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent resident status under the provincial nomination category.

Nominations are valid for approximately six months from the date of confirmation.

As a provincial candidate, you may earn an additional 600 points based on the CRS, and thus score high enough to qualify for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the subsequent National Express Shipping draw.
